More Than 40 Years of Growing Together

Formed in 1982 as a ministry of West Main Baptist Church, the WEE Center has been trusted by Danville families with their children's first school experiences for more than four decades.

Why Play-Based Learning Works for Preschoolers

Young children learn best by doing. Building a block tower or squishing paint between their fingers, they practice problem solving, cooperation, and communication. We focus on the experience, not perfect products.

A Safe, Kind, & Nurturing Place

The safety and well-being of our children is our top priority. We use positive guidance: children are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect, and teachers never yell at, shame, or embarrass a child.

What Parents Say

We were new here and The Wee Center gave us a community to be a part of. When our son had surgery, they all sent him get well cards! He felt so loved. The Wee Center will always have a place in our hearts!
A WEE Center Parent
Our daughter started the 2s Class shy and unsure. By spring she was singing every song on the ride home and asking if it was a school day. Her teachers knew her, loved her, and helped her bloom.
The Harris Family
The small classes made all the difference. Her teacher noticed the little things and cheered every milestone right along with us. We never felt like just another family on a list.
Megan, 3s Class Parent
Tuesday Morning Out was the perfect first step for our little one and for me. Knowing he was safe, loved, and having fun let me breathe for a morning.
Emily, TMO Parent
Both of our boys went through the WEE Center and walked into kindergarten confident and ready. Years later they still talk about their teachers by name.
Chris and Lauren
We love that faith is part of every day here. Our son comes home talking about kindness, saying grace at dinner, and the friends he made. It truly feels like family.
